HOPE has selected 3 shelter animals at the Effingham County Animal Shelter in Springfield, GA. We selected two dogs and one cat to receive a FREE basic spay or neuter upon adoption at one of our approved veterinarians. Once adopted the adopter will be provided with HOPE paperwork within their adoption packet from the shelter. It will explain everything we cover and the few things we do not, how to reach us, and what they need to do.
Its real simple – Adopt, call us, we get with the veterinarian and approve the free basic spay or neuter, we call you back and the adopter calls the veterinarian to set the appt up for their convenience within the 30 days as required by law. Nothing to it and the adopter gets a FREE basic spay or neuter. Whats not to love about that. That is potentially up to a $90 savings.
Here are the babies that received the May HOPE Hearts:
Chesney received the HOPE heart for a FREE basic neuter.
June received the HOPE Heart for a FREE basic spay.
Sassy received the HOPE Heart for a FREE basic spay.
The Effingham County Animal Shelter just had their visit by the Boy Scouts to do some much needed painting. The exterior Adoption Play Area was painted as well as the exterior wall of the play area. The Boy Scouts also had the extra paint and painted the interior area of the adoption kennel room. They even painted the outside drop off pen cover and cleaned up the front yard area when coming to the facility. Now it all looks great and created a nice background for the murals to be painted on. The high school art dept is going to be coming out to paint beautiful murals on the walls outside in the Adoption Play Area and the exterior wall leading to the front door. Just more changes to upgrade the shelter and with the help and support of the Effingham community. It is with the help of the community that we will be able to take this journey higher and higher.
Here are some pictures from the painting event they had over the weekend. What a great job they did.
